Obituary

Patricia J. “Pat” Dutily, 74, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 1, 2025, at Lowell General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Stephen C. Dutily, with whom she shared 26 years of marriage until his passing in 2018.

Born in Lowell on September 15, 1950, Pat was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Wyman) Texeira. She was raised in Lowell and educated in the local schools. After graduating high school, she pursued cosmetology and worked as a hairdresser in the Lowell area for many years. Later, she joined Lowell General Hospital as a cashier, where she built lasting friendships and was known for her warm smile and kind spirit, retiring after more than 15 years of service.

Pat was a strong and independent woman, proud of the life she built. She found her greatest joy in her family, especially her grandchildren, and cherished every moment spent together. She loved to sing and dance to her favorite music. In her past years, she loved boating and time spent on the water with her loved ones. In her more recent years, you could always find her sitting outside on her front steps. She loved talking to everyone, and she always knew how to make you laugh.

She is survived by her children, William Fairweather and his companion, Amanda Brogan, of Lowell, and Randy Fairweather and his wife, Jessica, of Nashua, NH; her cherished grandchildren, Larissa Fairweather of Nashua and Madison Dutily of Andover; and her siblings, John Texeira and his wife, Mary, of Tyngsboro, Mary Lou Briand and her husband, Bruce, of Hudson, NH, and David Texeira and his wife, Maryann, of Lowell, . She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her dearly.

In addition to her husband, Pat was predeceased by her son, Stephen Dutily Jr., who passed away in 2013, as well as her siblings, Phyllis Texeira, Roland Texeira, Judy Texeira, Shirley Texeria, Sue Ponte, and Carol Bilapka Pereira.

Please join the family for a Celebration of Life brunch in loving memory of Patricia. The celebration will be held at Lenzi’s, 810 Merrimack Ave. in Dracut on Saturday, September 20th from 11:00 am-3:00 pm.
