Albert Joseph “Al” Reardon, Jr., 87, of Tewksbury, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, with his family by his side at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center.
Born in Somerville on April 25, 1938, he was the son of the late Albert Reardon Sr. and Helen (Scales) Reardon. He spent his early years in Somerville before moving with his family to Tewksbury in 1953. After graduating high school, Al proudly enlisted in the United States Navy. Upon completing his service, he returned home to Tewksbury where he was married and started his family of 5 children. He also began his career in electronics at RCA/GE where he was employed up to his retirement.
Al was a longtime communicant of Saint William’s Parish, he was deeply rooted in his community. He cherished time spent with his family outdoors, whether vacationing in Vermont, hiking through its hills, or relaxing by the sea in Rockport. A lover of nature and ships alike, he found peace in both the mountains and the ocean.
Family was at the heart of everything Al did. He is survived by his children: Sharon A. Marcil and her husband, Paul of Tennessee, Barbara H. Russell and her husband, Stephen of Eliot, ME, Coleen M. Labbe of Worcester, MA, Susan C. Palmer of Lynchburg, VA, and Albert J. Reardon III and his wife, Jennifer of Derry, NH. He also leaves behind his sister, Dr. Mildred A. Reardon of Vergennes, VT; 19 beloved grandchildren: Paul Jr., Daphne, Mark, Sarah, Keith, Kimberly, Julia, Christina, Brian, Jeffrey, Allan Jr., Ashley, Angela, Alison, Adam, Aiden, Nicholas, Michelle, and James; and 18 cherished great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his former wife, Carol Hodgdon Reardon, his son-in-law, John Labbe, and his granddaughter, Elizabeth Marcil.
Al will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who found his greatest joy in the time he shared with family. His legacy of love and warmth will live on in the generations he leaves behind.

On Sunday, September 7, 2025 all are welcome to attend his calling hours from 2-5 p.m. at Tewksbury Funeral Home, 1 Dewey Street, Tewksbury.
On Monday morning, his funeral will begin at 9 am at the funeral home, followed by his funeral mass at 10 am at St. Williams Church. Burial will follow at Tewksbury Cemetery.
