Jennifer Mixon, 58, of Irwinville, Georgia, died Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Tift Regional Medical Center with her family surrounding her in spirit and in person.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Friday, September 5, 2025, at The Paulk Funeral Home in Fitzgerald, Georgia. A private family service will be held at a later time. She will be laid to rest beside her parents at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Wilcox County.
Jennifer was born on Wednesday, August 9, 1967, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late Charles Franklin & Virginia “Ginger” Clements Mixon. She attended school at Irwin Academy until it closed and was a 1985 graduate of Irwin County High School. A homemaker, she loved her feline friends, spending time with her family, and tie-dye. She was a devoted Christian and formerly sang with the Royal Descendants.
She is survived by her husband, Tracy Burnam of Irwinville; children: Hope & Anthony Frazier of Ocilla, Brandon Stringer & Shawn Sutton of Fitzgerald, and Caitlin & Adam Wiggins of Irwinville; grandchildren: Logan Harper, Landon Cotterman, Ta’Lynn Frazier, Zaybree Cotterman, Ava Frazier, Weston Wiggins, and Isaiah Frazier; and a brother, Steve Mixon of Irwinville.
The family wishes to gratefully acknowledge the loving and compassionate care given to Jennifer by Hospice of Tift Area with special thanks to Paula Reaves.
