Angela Volpe, 72, of Derry, New Hampshire, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025, leaving her family with a legacy of love and loyalty that they will always honor and cherish.
Born in Castrofilippo, Italy, on November 22, 1953, to Giuseppe and Domenica (Emmanuele) Agliata, Angela brought the rich traditions and heartfelt hospitality of her Italian heritage to every aspect of her life.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gerlando Volpe. She also leaves behind her three daughters: Lisa Volpe, Marianne Volpe Moher, and Theresa Carey and husband Matthew. Angela’s greatest joys were her grandchildren, Dominic and Grace Carey, and her honorary "grandson," Tommy Agliata. She is also survived by her sister, Ann Inserra (the late Vincent Inserra); her brother, Tom Agliata and wife Lisa; and an abundant circle of extended family and dear friends.
Before her retirement, Angela served the City of Somerville, MA, as a dedicated paraprofessional and school bus driver. Outside of work, her true passion was cooking. Nothing brought Angela more joy than showing her deep love and respect for others through Italian meals and large family gatherings.
Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Peabody Funeral Home & Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH.
