Obituary

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Beverly J. Turner, who entered into rest on August 14, 2025, at the age of 90.

Beverly was born on January 11, 1935, in Brockton, Massachusetts, to Luella Belleville and Herbert West. She was a devoted mother to Glen Turner and his wife Judith Turner of Mansfield, Massachusetts, and Mark Turner and his wife Renita Turner of Mansfield, Massachusetts.

She was a cherished grandmother to Stacie Garcia and her husband, Israel of Sabattus, Maine; Andrew Turner and his wife, Annelise of Cleburne, Texas; Kristina Fowler and her husband, Tyler of Raynham, Massachusetts; Taylor Chavez and her husband, Tyler of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Monica Turner and her husband, Danny of Mansfield, Massachusetts.

Affectionately known as “Gigi”, Beverly delighted in her role as great-grandmother to Asher, Kaleb, and Ethan Garcia of Sabattus, Maine; Mikaela and Benjamin Turner of Cleburne, Texas; Henry “Hank” Chavez of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, who is joyfully expecting a sibling in April and Danny-Glen and Dylan Turner of Mansfield, Massachusetts.

Beverly is survived by her siblings: Lorna West of Saco, Maine; Bonnie Mazurek and her husband, David of Plainville, Connecticut; Brian West of Plainville, Connecticut; and Sherri West-Boudewyns and her husband, James of Plainville, Connecticut. She is also survived by her long-time partner and companion, Jean Bernier of Norton, MA.

Beverly dedicated her life to caring for her family and to her work in the Mansfield school system, where she proudly served as a school bus driver for nearly 50 years, most notably for Mansfield High School. She was a homemaker whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew her.

Her hobbies included crocheting, loving on any dog she could, and traveling on mission trips with her children, experiences that deepened her love for service and community. She was a lifelong member of the Foxboro Seventh-day Adventist Church, where she faithfully worshiped since its founding in 1958, a building she herself helped to raise.

Beverly will be remembered for her faith in God, her deep love for her family, and her kindness to everyone she met.

A celebration of her memory will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Foxboro Seventh-day Adventist Church, 308 Central Street, Foxboro, Massachusetts. Interment will take place privately for family at Springbrook Cemetery in Mansfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ADRA (Adventist Development and Relief Agency), an organization Beverly loved and supported.
