In loving memory of Angelina Wood
With deep sadness, the family of Angelina Wood announces her peaceful passing at the age of 95 years young in Newton, MA on August 24, 2025. She was born in Tewksbury, Mass and had lived in Somerville, Medford, Sturbridge and Wellesley. Most recently she resided at Stone Rehab & Senior Living.
Angelina will be remembered most for her sharp mind and sense of humor which stayed with her to the end. Angelina was selfless and had a passion for crocheting, reading books, listening to country music and watching holiday movies. She loved meeting friends for lunch and participated in activities at the Friendship Circle in Wellesley. While living at Stone Rehab she bonded with staff and made new friends to spend her time with.
A lifelong animal lover, Angelina shared her home over the years with several beloved spoiled cats and great dogs who brought her companionship, love and comfort.
Angelina was married for 47 years to her beloved and irreplaceable husband John Wood, who predeceased her in 2007. She is survived by her 2 daughters Linda Carreiro and her husband Paul Carreiro of Woburn, Nancy Griffin of Springfield, grandchildren Robert (Michele)Buchanan of Haverhill and Linda (Eric) Saulnier of North Andover, great grandchildren Elizabeth, Jeremy, Lyric, Crosby, Charlotte, Emma and Allison.
Angelinas’ absence leaves a profound void, but her kindness, selflessness, and spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
A celebration of Angelinas’ life will be held at a later date.
