GILMANTON ---- Ursula Norell, 86, of Meeting House Road, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025, at the Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord.
Ursula was born on May 31, 1939, in Lahr, Germany, the daughter of Max and Elizabeth (Hornberger) Mueller.
A woman of many talents and endless heart, Ursula found joy in tending her flower garden, baking, preserving food (her jam was legendary), and weaving on her loom. Her favorite color was purple—a fitting choice for someone whose presence was both regal and radiant. Her smile could light up a room and her laugh was truly infectious.
Ursula is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, William Norell and children, Carol Beck (husband Jim) of Gilmanton, NH, Robert Norell (wife Deanna) of Phoenix, AZ and Karen Woodward (husband Ted) of Northfield, NH. She was predeceased by her parents.
Ursula’s legacy continues through her grandchildren, Nicholas Beck (wife Mariah) of Barnstead, NH and Kristen Astras (husband Joe) of Phoenix, AZ and her eight great-grandchildren, Pericles, Devin, Joseph and Cassius of Phoenix, AZ and Bailey, Ashlynn, Austin and Aubrey of Barnstead, NH, who carry her spirit forward.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her love and laughter will live on in the stories, traditions and memories she leaves behind.
There will be no calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 10:00am, at Smith Meeting House Cemetery, Meeting House Road, Gilmanton, NH.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the Granite VNA Hospice House, 240 Pleasant Street, Concord, NH 03301, or to a favorite charity of your choice.
