Obituary

St Jean Narcisse, age 67, of Medway, passed away peacefully and went home to be with our Heavenly Father on August 12, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on June 10, 1958 in L’Estere, Haiti to Augustine Narcisse and Francille Emille. St Jean was one of many children. He lost both of his parents in his teenage years and immigrated to the United States in his early twenties for better opportunities for himself and his family. He was the first of many family members to immigrate to the United States for better opportunities. St Jean was an upstanding representation of his family and possessed a hard-working mentality. He was known for his resilience, faith, and love for his family.

St Jean dedicated his life to his career and his family. He raised his family with his wife, Yolette Fortune, in Hyde Park for 9 years and then moved to Medway in 2005 where they raised their children. St Jean started his career at ServiceMaster Cleaning Company. He then started his own cab business titled JNB Cab stationed near Fenway Park. St Jean later worked as a livery and CDL bus driver. He touched many lives and will be remembered for the hardworking, family man that he was.

St Jean met life’s challenges with faith, grace and strength. He found joy in Kompa music, gardening, cooking Haitian food, spending time with family, and watching martial art series, classic films, TV sitcoms, and sports games with his sons.

St Jean is survived by his wife Yolette Fortune, children Gracelee Vixamar, Bryan Narcisse and wife Jessica Narcisse, Jerry Narcisse, and Brianna Narcisse. His brother Wilner Narcisse and wife Adeline Julien, brother Jean Narcisse and wife Mirphile Sylvain, brother Mercidieu Narcisse, and sister A’Jeanie Narcisse. His brother-in laws Robert Fortune, Pierre Fortune, Maxo Fortune and his sister-in laws Yolaine Fortune Joanisse and Clercina Narcisse. Uncle Joseph Emille. Nieces Hermiline Pierre, Onerjerly Exavier, Merlude Narcisse, Merite Narcisse and Ruth Narcisse. Nephews WilMarcus Narcisse, Derwin Narcisse, Clifford Narcisse, Merson Narcisse, Merkens Narcisse, Ruben Narcisse, Obed Narcisse and Yovens Narcisse.

St Jean was a firm believer in his faith in God. Let us not forget to thank God for all the blessings he has allowed us to share with him.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, September 5 from 5:30 pm -8:00 pm at Ginley Crowley Funeral Home located at 3 Barber Street in Medway ginleyfuneralhomes.com

A funeral will be held on Saturday, September 6 at 1:00 pm at Medway Community Church located at 11 Slocumb Place in Medway with a burial service to follow at Evergreen Cemetery located at 8 Evergreen Street in Medway. The reception after the services will be held at the family home.
