Born August 7, 1939, in LaGrange, Mrs. Suggs was the daughter of the late Flint Odell Pilcher and Zula Battle Pilcher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Curtis Elton Suggs, who she married on July 10, 1959; and two sisters and brothers-inn-law, Lois and Horace McDaniel and Shirley and Joe Popham.
Mrs. Suggs’ greatest occupation was that of a homemaker and she definitely made a house a “home”. However, she retired from Avondale Mills in Tifton, and she also worked for the Tift County School System. In addition to her love of being a homemaker, she loved yard work and decorating her house. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing puzzles. She loved the Lord and she was a member of Pineview Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton.
Mrs. Suggs is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Lisha Suggs and Steve and Donna Suggs; five grandchildren and their spouses, Scott and Amanda Suggs, Nikki and Tom Bisdorff, Kayla and William Germaine, Blake and Karlie Suggs and Allison and Garrett Phillips; twelve great-grandchildren, Brodie Suggs, Grey Suggs, Will Germaine, Kayden Germaine, Alex Germaine, Lainey Phillips, Georgia Suggs, Dixie (Caleb) Odom, Blair Manac (Bryson Vaughn), Colton Manac (Kaden Walker), Airiauna Bisdorff and Finleigh Bisdorff; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Pruitt Health in Sylvester and to the staff of Pruitt Hospice in Cordele.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial gifts may be made to Peanut Butter and Jesus at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church, c/o Tony McBrayer, 91 Springhill Church Road, Tifton, GA 31793.
