Connie Munn Parrott, 80, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at her residence.
Memorial services will be held, 2 PM, Friday, August 29, 2025, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Henry Tyson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the service hour.
Mrs. Parrott was born October 31, 1944, in Port St. Joe, Florida, to the late Boyd Herbert Munn, Sr. & Ocyle Van Horn Munn. Mrs. Parrott attended University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She lived in Fitzgerald for 60 years and worked for many years at Standard Supply with her husband, Jim Parrott. She loved gardening and spending time with family at her hometown of St. Joe Beach, Florida. Mrs. Parrott was named to the Albany Museum of Art Regional Council Board as Fitzgerald’s representative, served as secretary of the Gateway Garden Club, Vice President of Magnolia Garden Club, and was a member of the Fitzgerald racquet club. She was chairman of the Business and Industry Appreciation Committee of Fitzgerald and was a member of the Fitzgerald Ben Hill Chamber of Commerce, Fitzgerald Arts Council, and Fitzgerald Ben Hill Education Foundation. Mrs. Parrott was a member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class, attended First Baptist Church of Fitzgerald and The Grove Church.
She is survived by her sons: J. Palmer Parrott & Angela of Fitzgerald and Payton S. Parrott of Palm Harbor, Florida; grandchildren: Parks Parrott, Payton Parrott and Tripp Parrott; two brothers: Bert H. Munn, Jr. & Jo of Port St. Joe Beach, Florida and Mike E. Munn & Janice of Lynn Haven, Florida; and a special cousin, Katie Lightbody & Jack of New Bern, North Carolina. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Parrott, a son, Lauren Parks Parrott, and a brother, Robert Munn.
