STEEP FALLS- April Mae Jones, age 41, passed away peacefully in her sleep August 16, 2025, after a long battle with chronic heart and lung conditions.
She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 13, 1984, the beloved daughter of Ike & Laura Jones.
At the age of six April moved with her family to Maine, where she lived the rest of her life. She attended the Bonney Eagle Schools and later worked at VIP auto parts before spending many years at various Dunkin Donuts locations. Where she was known and loved by many.
April was a beautiful soul who touched countless lives with her kindness, generosity, and radiant smile that could light up any room. She was always ready to help, listen, and offer advice to those who needed it. She loved the outdoors camping, fishing and swimming were among her favorite pastimes. She had a deep love for animals and an even deeper love for her family. Her two sons were her greatest joy, and she cherished them above all else.
In her later years, as her illness became more difficult to manage, April spent more time at home, where she created a warm and loving space for her family.
April is predeceased by her father Isaac Nicholas Jones IV, and her brother Anthony Steven Jones.
She is survived by her cherished sons Josiah and Keegen Martin. Her mother Laura Jones, Her lifelong partner and devoted caregiver, Jason Martin. Her Brother Nick Jones and his wife Susan and their children Nicholas, Thomas & Henry. Her late brother Tony’s children Tyler and Hayden Jones: as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends. She leaves behind a hole in many hearts and will be sourly missed.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no formal service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
