Elaine Frances Navarro, 85, of Ventura, California, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025.
Elaine was born and raised in Los Angeles, where she met and married her husband, Daniel. Together, they lovingly raised three children. She and Dan later moved to Ventura to be closer to their first grandchild—a chapter that brought her great joy.
Known affectionately as an “Energizer bunny,” Elaine embraced retirement by earning an associate degree from Ventura College, and faithfully serving in several ministries, including St. Vincent de Paul Society and Eucharistic Adoration at Sacred Heart Church. Her life reflected her deep love for the Lord, lived out with a generous heart.
Elaine was also a published writer who enjoyed capturing life’s adventures, especially her love of travel, particularly by train.
Elaine is survived by her daughter, Julie Carobini (Dan) of Ventura, and sons, Danny Navarro, Jr. of South Pasadena, Mike Navarro (Rita) of Sherman Oaks, along with six grandchildren she adored: Matthew, Angie, and Emma Carobini; Enzo and Luca Navarro; and Jaxson Navarro. She is also survived by her sisters Miriam Torres (Joe), Angela Slaff, and Mickey Miele, as well as many much-loved nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Albert and Cecilia Miele, her sister, Cecilia Hartfeld, and her husband Daniel, her steadfast companion of 58 years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Tender Life Maternity Home or Sacred Heart Church.
The family wishes to thank Livingston Memorial, particularly Jacquie Michael, and several caregivers who provided compassionate care to their precious mother.
