Anna C. (LaCascia) Fioretti, at the age of 92, a long-time Medford public school teacher and resident passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2025. She was a devoted daughter to her parents Joseph LaCascia and Sadie M. (Vaccaro) LaCascia – (deceased). Anna is survived by her nieces and nephews, to whom she was a loving second mother, having watched over them and assisted them throughout their lives, they include Joseph and Aleta LaCascia, of Vancouver, Canada, Christine LaCascia of Medway, MA, and Brenden and Janice (LaCascia) Mahoney of Groton, MA. Each will miss their “Auntie Anna” greatly. She will also be forever cherished by her four grandnieces, Ava, Nia, Sophia and Olivia. Anna was also pre-deceased by her beloved brother John A. LaCascia and her sister-in-law Josephine M. (Badessa) LaCascia.
Anna worked her way through school and received a bachelor’s degree from Salem State College. She then gave her spirit and energy to her classroom for 40+ years as a 4th grade teacher in the Medford Public School System where she educated generations of children and became known as a “prankster” and a loyal friend to her colleagues. A spirited conversationalist, loving soul, tremendous cook, and avid Fox news fan, she lived her life her way.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the Dello Russo Funeral Home at 306 Main Street in Medford, MA, on Sunday, August 24, from 3:00-6:00PM and again on Monday, August 25, at 8:30AM, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St, Medford, MA, at 9:30AM.
Sevices will conclude with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury, MA.
