Donald Arthur “Don” Lawler
June 27, 1928- August 16, 2025

Donald Arthur “Don” Lawler, 97, of Anderson passed away on August 16, 2025 at Grand Brook Memory Care in Fishers following an extended illness.

He was born on June 27, 1928 in Anderson to the late Garland and Hazel (Woodruff) Lawler. He graduated from Anderson High School in the class of 1946.

He served in the US Army during the Korean War.

He worked as a manager in the Lumber Business for over 50 years primarily with Wicks and retired from Wolahan Lumber Company.

He was a member of Bethany Christian Church and was attending at Chesterfield Christian Church. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and playing cards especially euchre. He played basketball on the church league.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandpa and great-grandpa. He had a passion for the Lord and a Servant’s Heart. He read his Bible daily.

He is survived by his two sons, Doug Lawler of Pendleton and Dennis (Tammy) Lawler of Dade City, Florida; four grandchildren, Brittany (Jordan) Schrader and Drew (Kat) Lawler all of Tampa, Florida, Jacob Lawler of Westfield and Nathan (Erin) Lawler of Portland, Oregon; five great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Everett, Olivia, Ellisen and Worth; two brothers, Tom Lawler of Elwood and Stanley (Pat) Lawler of Anderson; a brother-in-law, Bill Craigie of Westfield; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Donna Lue Lawler in 2019; a daughter, Deanna Lawler; and a sister, Joyce Craigie.

Funeral service will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastors Ned Clark and Brad Storm officiating.

Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00am- 12:00pm on Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
