Obituary

Bronislawa “Broni” Hoelle, 99 of Northborough, died Wednesday in Marlborough Hospital after a brief illness, surrounded by family. She is survived by her three daughters, Carolyn Frasch and her husband, Jurgen of Berlin, Julie Manzo and her husband, Paul of Hopkinton and Sue Fantony and her husband, Steve of Southborough; her brother, Michael Geletiuk, and her sister, Mimi Emig, both in Germany; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Dieter (Max); son, John; daughter, Helene; brother, Joseph; and three sisters, Stefanie, Regina, and Rosl.

Broni was born in Romania, the daughter of Christian and Julianna Geletiuk. After emigrating to the US, she became an active member of the Boylston Schul-Verein in Boston, and later in Walpole, where she met her husband Dieter. Together, they shared countless happy moments dancing, celebrating life, and raising their family. They loved traveling when they could, socializing with friends, and enjoying German music and culture. While her greatest joy was time spent dancing with her husband, she also loved to bake and could always be counted on for her Birthday cakes and Christmas cookies. Family members could often be found sneaking her chocolate chip cookies from the tin above the fridge. When not dancing with her husband, she enjoyed knitting for her family and the community, watching her soap operas, working on puzzles, and listening to German music. She will be sorely missed by all those who loved her. Funeral services will be private.
