WEST NEWFIELD- Roger Thomas D’Amelio, 45, of West
Newfield, passed away at home on August 13, 2025, after a brief illness.
Born in Exeter, NH, on April 4, 1980, Roger was the son of the late Terry Ann Haywood and the late Ralph Paul D’Amelio. He grew up on the family farm in Kingston, NH with his brother and sisters. At a young age Roger discovered his deep love for animals, which became one of the great joys of his life.
For the past ten years, Roger worked as a groom in harness racing, where he found great fulfillment in caring for the horses.
He is survived by his brothers, Ralph Paul D’Amelio II; and Vincent D’Amelio; his sister, Emily D’Amelio Vargas (Sean); many aunts, cousins, and his nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Roger. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Tracey D’Amelio.
Roger was quick to make friends anywhere he went, always showing up with a smile and a story to share. He had a big heart and a wonderful sense of humor. Although his time with us was far too short, the love and laughter he shared will be cherished and missed by many.
A celebration of life will be announced by the family at a later date
