Malcolm Whitcomb, a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, at the age of 74.
Malcolm dedicated his life to hard work, family, and the simple joys that brought him peace. As a talented machinist, he earned the respect of his peers through decades of precise craftsmanship, quiet diligence, and an unwavering commitment to doing things right.
Outside of work, Malcolm found great happiness on the golf course. Whether playing a full round or simply practicing his swing, he cherished the joy the game offered him throughout his life.
Malcolm is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Beach, his sons, Shawn Whitcomb and Chris Whitcomb, and his cherished grandchildren, Joseph, Haley, Dylan, Zoe, Jessica, and Michael. He also leaves behind his former wife, Sandra Whitcomb, with whom he shared many years and memories, his daughters-in-law, Aura and Holly; and his four beloved brothers—Brian, his twin brother Mark, Joel, and Phillip—each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Malcolm was a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews, all of whom he cared for deeply and who will fondly remember his warmth, humor, and steady guidance.
He will be remembered for his quiet strength, gentle demeanor, and deep devotion to those he loved. Malcolm’s legacy lives on in the family he nurtured, the values he instilled, and the lives he touched with his kindness and humility.
Visitation will be held at Oteri Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, Franklin, MA on Tuesday, August 26, from 11 AM to 2 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Malcolm’s name.
