James E. Reed, age 61, of Brockton, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Signature Healthcare-Brockton Hospital. He was the husband of Wilma A. (Alejo) Reed.
Born in Brockton, he was the son of the late John and Norma Jean (Morris) Reed.
Jim served his country proudly in the United States Army and the United States Navy.
He worked as a maintenance supervisor for the past twelve years at the West Roxbury Veterans Administration Medical Center.
James enjoyed bowling and was a fan of all of the New England sports teams. He will be remembered for being jolly, loving, friendly, and his sense of humor.
Besides his wife, he leaves his stepson Richard D. A. Navarro and his daughter in law Johanna Navarro of Missouri; his siblings, Kevin, Joey, Billy, Maureen, and Mary, and his late brother Michael Reed; step grandchildren Yuan Jiro Navarro, Nilai Biel Navarro, Mira Ioni Navarro; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to visit with Jim’s family on Monday, August 18, 2025, from 9:15 am to 10:15 am, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am, in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 433 West Street, Brockton.
