Jane C. (Barter) Betzner, 64, formerly of Hyannis, died peacefully surrounded by her family on August 5, 2025, in Medway after a one year courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
She was the beloved wife of John Betzner since 1987.
Jane was born in Hyannis, MA on January 9, 1961, the daughter of the late Norma (Doucette) Barter and Russell Barter.
Jane graduated from Barnstable High School and worked several book keeping jobs in the Hyannis area. In 1987 she married and moved to Medway. She worked at Charles River Bank for many years, eventually working in the deposit operations section. Her greatest joy in life was raising her children and granddaughters. Her love and devotion to them will be remembered by everyone she touched. Additionally, she enjoyed sewing, crochet and needlepoint.
Besides her husband John of 37 years, she is survived by two children, Matthew of Medway and Caroline (Betzner) Smith of Framingham, MA, sister Nancy (Barter) Carrell of Mt. Dora, Florida, grandchildren Savannah Smith and Lauren Smith.
The family wishes to extend their sincere and deepest gratitude to the Dana Farber staff in Milford MA for the incredible care and support during her treatment.
A private burial and service will be planned in the future.
