Charles Edward Oglesby, age 89, of Goffstown NH passed away August 4, 2025. He was born March 23, 1936, in McAlester, OK, to Chester Robert Oglesby and Willie Mae (Burdick) Oglesby.
Charles served in the US Air Force from 1957-1965 as a Chaplain Assistant and was deployed to Vietnam. He was stationed at Pease Air Force base in Portsmouth NH & Macdill Air Force Base in Tampa FL.
Charles taught at the NH Technical College in Nashua NH for 33 years, teaching English and History. He then was a substitute teacher in the Dracut Schools for many years before officially retiring.
He had a passion for reading history books and the Bible.
He is survived by his children, Tanya Cedorchuk and husband, Michael of Lowell, MA, Charles Oglesby of Somerville, MA, Tamara Baker and husband, Maxim of Wixom, MI, and Aaron Oglesby of Manchester NH; his grandchildren, Ashley, Juliana & Kailey Cedorchuk, Nickolas, Owen & Emerson Baker; and his great grandchildren, Julian & Eliana Cedorchuk. He is also survived by his siblings, Cora Mae Brant & Clifford Oglesby of Colorado; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Lois Oglesby; his sisters, Pauline, Irene & Josephine and his brothers, Burt and Roy.
Burial will take place privately at a later date.
