Obituary

Mary F. (Baronowski) Fedak age 93 of Rumson, NJ, died Tuesday, Aug. 22,2006 at the home of her granddaughter Kimberly McMahon and Husband Charlie in Windham, NH, surrounded by her family.

She was a resident of Rumson, NH but moved up to NH over 3 years ago to be cared for by her daughter Joan and family. Mrs. Fedak was born in South Amboy, NJ on May 30, 1913, daughter of the late Bronislaw & Katherine (Barlikowski) Baronowski. She was raised and educated in South Amboy, where she came from a large family of 13 children.

She and her husband, Peter Fedak, owned and operated the Union Hotel in Bohamtown, NJ for over 40 years. Upon his death in 1973, she moved to Rumson, NJ, to be closer to her children.

Known affectionately as “Monia” by her family, Mary dedicated her life to her family and enjoyed visiting with them and being a part of their lives. She will always be remembered as a “true lady” as well as the best mother, grandmother, and great grandmother that anyone could ever ask for. She will be greatly missed for her kind heart and loving ways.

The widow of the later Peter Fedak, she is survived by her daughter Joan Vranken of Rumson, NJ, her son Peter F. Fedak of Rockville, MD, and her daughter Dorothy & her Husband Kenneth MacPherson of Mantoloking, NJ. Her 7 grandchildren include: Kimberly & her husband Charlie McMahon of Windham, NH, Cindy & her husband Ira Siegel of Montclair, NJ, Jack & his wife Yong Mi Vranken of Holmdel, NJ, Wendy & her husband Michael Payne of Wall, NJ, Kenneth II & his wife Holly MacPherson of Bayhead, NJ, & Peter F. III & his wife Daniele of Rockville, MD. Her 10 Great Grandchildren include: Charlie, Brittney, & Shane McMahon, Brianna Siegel, Kelsey, Kyle, & Konnor Payne, and Kenneth III, Jane, & Dawson MacPherson. She was predeceased by her beloved granddaughter Lori Vranken, her son in law Jack Vranken, and her daughter in law Susan Fedak.


Funeral services will be private for the family and there are no calling hours. Cremation will take place and burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway, New Jersey. Douglas & Johnson Funeral, 214 Main St, Salem, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
