Ann M. (Keveney) Meserve, 93 of Plymouth, MA formerly a longtime resident of Whitman, died peacefully on August 3, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Whitman, MA to James P. and Margaret A. (Kilgrew) Keveney on April 4, 1932.
Ann attended Whitman Schools, graduating as Vice-President of the Class of 1950. She then went on to study at Bridgewater State College.
In 1953, Ann met and married the “love of her life” Robert J. Meserve of Abington, MA.
Ann is survived by her loving children, Mary-Ellen McLean and her husband Donald of Plymouth, Elizabeth A. Davis and her husband Brian of Pembroke, Jean L. Baker and her late husband Jeffrey of Abington, Robert J. Meserve, Jr. and his wife Lisa (Kenney) Meserve, and Thomas P. Meserve and his husband Lionel of Randolph. She is also survived by Paula (McNeil) Meserve of East Bridgewater and her nine cherished grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Ann was predeceased by her sister Mary Conant.
In 1968, Ann began working as a teacher’s aide in the Whitman School System, eventually becoming secretary to the principal at Whitman-Hanson Regional High, retiring in 2008 after forty years. Her job meant so very much to Ann that up until two weeks ago, she told her family “She wanted her job back”!
Ann had a deep appreciation for traveling, with both her family and friends. At the heart of her life though, was her family to whom she was endlessly devoted.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visiting hours on Sunday August 10 from 2:00-5:00 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street, Whitman. A funeral Mass will be held Monday August 11 at 10:30 AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman, with a procession leaving from the Chapel at 9:45 AM.
