Linda Lee (Lazzerini) Landry, 80, who resided in Taunton, MA, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, after multiple bouts of cancer, with her family by her side. She shared the last 36 years of her life with her loving husband Richard O. Landry.
Born in Cohasset, MA, August 28, 1944, Linda was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lena (Achille) Lazzerini. She is also predeceased by her loving brother, Baldo Lazzerini.
Linda was raised in Hingham, MA, where she excelled in ballet, having her company join The Boston Ballet Company, for a special appearance.
Linda worked alongside her father in the family business, Mr. Joseph’s Catering, located in Franklin, MA, for over two decades. Subsequently, Linda sprouted her own venture, Mr. Joseph’s II, and enjoyed many successes in business from Attleboro, MA, over the next 20 plus years (3pp).
Linda had a passion for horses and owned both harness and thoroughbred racehorses throughout her life. She even had a stake in the 2020 Kentucky Derby winner, Authentic! Linda was famous for handicapping races. She genuinely enjoyed the sport and had a love for the horses. Many people admired her for that gift!
After retirement, Linda moved with her family to California where she hosted many young women from across the globe, offering them a home away from home. These relationships turned into lifelong friendships and were very meaningful to her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Natalie M. Emerson of Roscoe, TX and her late husband Kevin Emerson of Attleboro, MA; Regina L. Tripp and her fiancé Mark Taylor of Attleboro, MA; Richard J. Tripp and his fiancé Michele Mercier of Attleboro Falls, MA and Julie A. Tripp and her husband Patrick McGuirl of Taunton, MA.
Linda is also survived by her stepdaughters, Sherri Simms and her husband John of Cape Cod, MA and Robin and Dionne Landry of Florida.
She was made a grandmother by the late Matthew Thompson.
Linda is further survived by her grandchildren, Brandon Thompson and his fiancé Angela, Shane Thompson, Joseph Lazzerini, Marcus Tripp, Mackenzie Hannigan and his wife Kristianna, Zachary Hannigan and his wife Angelina, Christopher Golding and his wife Savannah, Jenna Golding, Morgan Simms and his wife Serena, Patrick McGuirl and Liam McGuirl.
She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Mason Thompson, Capri Thompson, Hudson Hannigan and Duke Simms.
Linda loved life and lived for her family, including cousins Patti and Margie.
Her happiest days, aside from those spent with her husband, were enjoyed with her best friend, Maureen Howell.
Calling hours will be on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 4-7 p.m. at the Ginley Funeral Home,(ginleyfuneralhomes.com) located at 131 Main Street, Franklin, MA.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home, followed by burial service at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 176 Beaver Street, Franklin, MA.
