Paul Santos, age 82, of Mansfield, formerly of Colchester, Vermont, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2025 at the Grandview Center in Cumberland, Rhode Island.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island on November16, 1942, he was a loving son of the late Anthony Santos and Josephine (Silva) Sax.
Paul grew up in East Providence, Rhode Island and was a graduate of East Providence High School. Paul was an accomplished equestrian and the proud owner of Sedgewood Farms since 1974. Sedgewood Farms began in Plainville and later moved to Delaware, finally settling in Colchester, Vermont.
Paul’s life was always centered around horses and his clients, who became lifelong friends. He had made his home in Mansfield for the past thirteen years, where he enjoyed working with horses owned by his late friend Karl Clemmey. He was a member of many Arabian Horse Affiliations, enjoyed teaching and sharing with children his love and experience for horses and will always be remembered for his kind nature towards others.
He was the dear brother of Dennis Santos of Mansfield, formerly of Narragansett, Rhode Island, Sandra L. Santos of Mansfield and the late Henry Santos and Carl Santos. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews, including Jazzmine Napolitano-Torres of Rumford, Rhode Island.
Services and burial will be private and visiting hours are omitted.
