Obituary

Susan Gagnon was born and raised in Brockton, Massachusetts, where her legacy of love, resilience, and fierce loyalty began. She attended Cardinal Spellman High School before graduating from Brockton High School and later earned her associate's degree in computer science. While her path took many turns, Susan never wavered in her mission to care for her family and ensure they never went without. She was a hustler in the best sense of the word - resourceful, driven, and always finding a way to provide.

Throughout her life, Susan held many jobs, but her true calling was as a caretaker. She cared for her mother and uncle until their final days, and her love extended well beyond her immediate family. Whether she knew you for a lifetime or had just met you, if you needed help, she showed up. Her home and her heart were always open. She gave and received love in its purest form - through action, sacrifice, and presence.

After raising her children and helping care for her grandson, Susan began a new chapter: traveling to Georgia to spend time with her eldest daughter, reconnecting with relatives she hadn't seen in years, and visiting Chicago where she bonded with her favorite cousins.
During this season of exploration, she finally embraced her gift for storytelling. Writing was her passion, and she began recording and sharing her stories online, with dreams of one day publishing her work. She was proud of her voice and she shared it, whether you were ready to hear it or not.

Eventually, Susan returned to her roots, continuing to do what she did best: care for her brother's grandchildren, catch up with her beloved dog Mula, and pour love into her youngest children and grandson. Her love was big, bold, and unwavering. She made you laugh when you wanted to cry, told you the truth when no one else would, and ensured her family always found their way back to one another.

She was a writer, a hustler, a straight shooter, a dependable friend, and the definition of a mama bear. Her words carried wisdom, her humor brought healing, and her loyalty was unmatched.

Susan is survived by her children - Sara Gagnon, Sasha Gagnon, Soul Gagnon, and Phillip Kostousos - and her cherished grandson, Savion Gagnon. She is also survived by her siblings Malcom Albert, Malik Albert, Dinera Lewis, Tarnisha Dottin, and Patrick Gallagher Sr., along with her nephew Patrick "Little Pat" Gallagher and his family. She leaves behind her cousins Michelle Robinson, Tawonna Robinson, Franchesca "Chesca" Cruz, and Dashawn Cruz, as well as dear friends Bob and Lynn, Jason Sands, and Luis Monteiro.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Gagnon of Brockton; her father, Jack Robinson of California; her uncle, Walter F. Gagnon; and her brother, Andrew S. Gagnon.

The legacy Susan leaves behind lives in every person she touched but most profoundly in the hearts of her children, and through them, her grandson Savion, and the generations to come.
