Obituary

Edward (Eddie) Philip Foley of Jamaica Plain passed away peacefully July 23, 2025. He was predeceased by his loving brother Martin Foley, sister Julia (Foley) Marshall and leaves behind nephews Kevin, Steven, Thomas, James, Robert and niece Donna.

Born on November 21, 1943; Eddie graduated from Roslindale High School and held a job for nearly 40 years working for Boston Public Works.

He was an animal lover, country music aficionado, and an avid sports fan. He never missed attending Red Sox opening day and was a season ticket holder to the Bruins and Celtics. Eddie never missed a Patriots game or a wrestling match and attended many games and local circuit wrestling matches throughout the years.

In addition to sports, Eddie also enjoyed travelling to Nashville to see the Grand Ole Opry as well as countless trips to Ireland with his brother Marty to see extended family in County Cork. He would also travel with Marty down to Cape Cod to visit his sister Judy and her family.

Above all else, Eddie was a lover of family and a devout Catholic who regularly attended Mass at St. Thomas Aquinas in Jamaica Plain and St. John’s in Pocasset on Cape Cod.

Always up for a game of poker, Chinese food, a good cigar, or a round of bowling - Eddie will always be remembered for his calm, kind demeanor and generosity. Private burial.
