Irene Marie “Eileen” Zimmer, age 991/2, a resident of Roswell, Georgia, for the past few years, a former longtime resident of Tewksbury, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, at Georgian Lakeside Senior Living in Roswell, Georgia.
Eileen is now reuniting with her husband, of 66 years, Charles, who passed away May 11, 2012, and her two sisters, the late Virginia Trojak and Jeannette Pozerski.
Eileen was a devoted mother to Ralph and his wife Gloria (Theriault), along with Paul and his wife Gwen (McAlpine). She was a loving grandmother to Charles and Sarah Zimmer, and dear aunt of Stanley Pozerski and his wife Linda, Stephen Pozerski and his wife Trish, and Gregory Pozerski.
At the age of 99 ½, she left behind her best friend, Ethel Milley, who is a healthy 100 years young along with her niece Lyn McHugh and husband Jim Davdison.
Eileen was born on February 10, 1926, in Jamacia Plain, MA., she was a daughter of the late John Trojak and the late Agnes (Bechta) Trojak.
At the young age of 18, she met the love of her life roller-skating in Dorchester, MA.
She relocated to Tewksbury to raise her family and began her career at the IRS.
Eileen looked forward to her weekly Saturday night dinners at the Hilltop with her husband, along with her weekly Wednesday morning breakfast gatherings with her closest friends.
She was an avid seamstress, enjoyed playing Scrabble, cooking homemade pizzas, doing puzzles and a hot cup of tea with three peanut butter crackers on the side.
Grandma will be missed by her “grand doggies” Ollie, Claire, Winston and Gomez.

Calling hours for Eileen will be held at Farmer and Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St, Tewksbury, on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, from 9 a.m., to 11 a.m., to be followed by a graveside service at Tewksbury Cemetery, 172 East Street, Tewksbury.
