Thomas J. Casey, 70, of North Attleboro, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 21, 2025 at home.
Born in Milton, MA, on November 3, 1954, he was a loving son of the late Michael E. Casey, Sr. and Elizabeth (Kelly) Casey. Tom grew up in Roslindale and West Roxbury, attended Saint Mary’s High School in Brookline, and was a graduate of Roslindale High School.
He worked for many years as a correctional officer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Corrections until his retirement. Outside of work, Tom had a true love for music, especially playing the guitar, and he enjoyed a good game of basketball. Known for his quick wit and boundless sense of humor, he was a born comedian and the life of every gathering, always making those around him laugh.
He is survived by his devoted lifetime partner, Anne Theresa “Nancy” Payne of North Attleboro, and his brother, Michael E. Casey, Jr. and his companion, Pam Eisenberg, of East Walpole. He was predeceased by his brothers Barry Casey, Paul Casey, and Brian Casey.
His funeral, to which relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend, will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, beginning with visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the P.E. Murray-F.J. Higgins-George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre Street, West Roxbury, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by the Reverend Joseph Ferme at 11:00 AM in Holy Name Church, 1689 Centre Street, West Roxbury. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
