Obituary

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we say goodbye to our beautiful wife, mother, and nana, Marianne DiGiampaolo, 72, who passed away on July 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late John and Rosemarie Bottaro.

Marianne had an extraordinary gift for nurturing deep, impactful relationships with everyone around her. She had a remarkable capacity to love which is highlighted by her 53-year marriage to her beloved husband, Lou. She dedicated her life to creating a warm, nurturing, and fun-loving home for her husband, children, and grandchildren who were all the apples of her eye.

Marianne was a devoted mother to her three daughters, always offering wisdom and encouragement and raising them with her husband to be strong and caring women. Marianne’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her two grandchildren, Nicholas and Ruby, with whom she often played games or took shopping. Her Italian cooking was legendary, and she fed everyone who walked into her kitchen. She was deeply creative and enjoyed making artwork, wreaths, and blankets. Her love for nurturing things was evident in her joy for feeding the birds in her yard while knowingly attracting other wildlife in the process.

She had a heart of gold and was very generous to everyone. In addition to her husband, Lou, Marianne is survived by her daughters, Hollie Gonzalez and husband Jose of Tewksbury, MA; Amie Joseph and husband Allex of Quincy, MA; and Victoria DiGiampaolo of Salem, NH. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nicholas and Ruby Gonzalez.

Calling hours are Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, MA. Funeral and interment will be private.
