In Loving Memory of Amalia Guzman Rodriguez
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Amalia Guzman Rodriguez, age 69, on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Holy Cross Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Amalia was born on June 10, 1956, in Guanajuato, Mexico, to the late Aaron Guzman and the late Julia Rodriguez. Amalia lived a full life as a dedicated homemaker and loving caretaker to her family. Her kindness and devotion to her loved ones will always be remembered.
Amalia is preceded in death by her late husband, Dagoberto Lopez. She leaves behind her children, grandchildren, extended family, and many friends who will cherish her memory.
She is survived by her children, Francisco (Mariana), Marina (Francisco), Pedro (Ana Maria), Jose Luis (Lupe), Rosa Nely, Dagoberto (Alma), Diego (Lisette) as well as other relatives who loved her dearly. Her family, friends, and all who knew her were touched by her warmth, love, and strength.
A funeral service will be held on Sun. July 27, 2027 at 12:00pm-4:00pm at Ocwieja-Robles Funeral Home, located at 4256 South Mozart Street, Chicago, Illinois. Burial will take place at Muinicipio de Moroleon, Guanajuato, Mexico
