It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Angela Nuzzo, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this life peacefully on Sunday, July 20, 2025. She was born in 1936 in Anzano di Puglia, Italy, and made her home in Medford, Massachusetts, where she devoted her life to her family and faith.
Angela leaves behind her beloved husband of 65 years, Donato Nuzzo, with whom she shared a lifetime of love. She was the devoted mother of Gina Nuzzo and her partner Eric Weymouth of Medford, and Pasquale Nuzzo and his wife Michelle Ross-Nuzzo of Stoneham. Angela’s greatest joy was found in her grandchildren - Julia, Donato, and Michael - who brought light to her life and will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
She is also survived by her sisters Carmela Bonito of France and Maria Rossi of Italy, and her brother Battista Zizza of Germany - along with their children, whom Angela loved dearly. She was predeceased by her parents, Antonio Zizza and Carmella Zarnella.
A devoted Catholic, Angela had a deep reverence for the Madonna di Anzano and carried her faith with quiet strength and unwavering devotion. She was known for her extraordinary cooking, her many beautiful gardens, and her endless generosity. Her home was always filled with warmth and laughter.
Angela was a remarkable woman - resilient, compassionate, and full of grace. Her strength carried her through life’s challenges, and her presence was a gift. Her legacy of love and kindness will remain with all who were blessed to know her.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, MA on Friday, July 25 from 4 through 8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St, Stoneham, MA on Saturday, July 26 at 10 AM. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden, MA.
