Frank Trippi, Jr., 84, formerly of Shrewsbury, died July 8, 2025 in Beaumont Rehabilitation Nursing Center, Westborough. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Frank, Sr. and Mary (Maffeo) Trippi.
Frank is survived by his brothers, Anthony of Shrewsbury, and his wife Janet; Michael of Palm Coast, Florida, and his wife Lisa; and his sister Sandra of Shrewsbury and her husband Marty Leroux.
He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews – Anthony, Jr., Elizabeth, Frank, Marcie, Nicholas, Michelle, Jaimee, Janelle, Matt, Kristan, and many great-nieces and nephews.
Frank was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School, Worcester Junior College and the Leland Powers School of Radio, TV, and Theater, in Boston. He worked for many years as a radio broadcaster in Willimantic Connecticut at WILI, Putnam Connecticut at WINY, and in later years in Worcester at WNEB. Frank lived for many years in the Tampa - St. Petersburg area of Florida before returning to Shrewsbury in 1991.
A loyal fan of Jeopardy, Frank was an avid reader and possessed a vast knowledge of historical events. He loved engaging in an animated political discussion. He greatly enjoyed spending time with family and smoking cigars with his “White City friends.”
A private graveside service was held in Mountain View Cemetery in Shrewsbury on Friday July 18, 2025.
