WEBSTER - Beatrice E. (Guskey) Galvin, 90, of 106 Upland Ave. Extension, died Tuesday, August 22, in Webster Manor. Her husband of 49 years, Francis T. Galvin, Sr., died in 1984.
She leaves a daughter, Janice M. Brisbois and her husband Ronald J. of Webster; a son, Francis M. Galvin of Dudley; a sister, Celia Ingraham of Dudley; a brother, Lawrence Guskey of Oxford; 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was born and raised in Oxford, the daughter of Michael and Eva (Bonneau) Guskey. She moved to Webster at the time of her marriage.
Mrs. Galvin worked as a clerk at Cranston Print Works Company for over 40 years, retiring in 1978.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She loved her family and her dog Molly.
The funeral will be held Friday, August 25, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main St. Burial will be in St. Roch’s Cemetery, Oxford. A calling hour will be from 8:15 to 9:15 AM Friday, August 25, in the funeral home.
