LACONIA ---- Fernand “Ski” Pierre Morency, 78, of Sarah Circle, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord, NH.
Ski was born on July 3, 1947, in Laconia, the son of Pierre Morency and Isabelle (Goupil) Morency.
Ski was a proud United States Marine veteran who served in the Vietnam War as a medic. He worked as a machinist at Aavid Engineering for over 30 years. Ski was an avid reader, and enjoyed science and history. He loved astronomy, astrology, and watching the National Geographic Channel. Ski also enjoyed gardening, painting and auto racing, especially Indie and NASCAR. He loved collecting stamps, and has a very large variety of stamps. Ski also was a proud member of what he called the “The Fat Farm,” the wellness center, which to him was more of a social event than exercise.
Ski is survived by his daughter Lynn Monier and her husband Jeff; four grandchildren, Tyler Morrissette, Kendall Morrissette, Madison Monier and Mackenzie Monier; sisters Denise Fontaine and Jeannette Blunden; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ski is predeceased by his daughter Anne Morrisette.
