STANDISH- Daniel Anthony Ferrante passed away peacefully at his home in Standish on July 16, 2025.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Karen A. (Herbert) Ferrante, his parents Ethel J. (Cash) Ferrante and Donato J. Ferrante, and his sister Donna Ferrante.
Daniel is survived by his sons Daniel Ferrante II and his wife Jen of Standish, Matthew Ferrante and his wife Mary of Standish, and Jeremy Ferrante of Standish; his brothers David Ferrante and his wife Susan, and Dana Ferrante and his wife Sherri; his grandchildren Taylor Wescott of Limington, Noah Ferrante of Portland, Emma Adams of Hiram, Daniel Ferrante III of Yarmouth, Jeremy Selmer of Chelsea, Alexis Ferrante of Standish, Kaleb Ferrante of Standish, and Colby Ferrante of Skowhegan; and his great-grandchildren Tanner, Braxton, and Michael.
Daniel worked as an arborist and mechanic for 49 years at Lucas Tree Experts in Portland. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards with friends and family. Daniel loved spending time with family and friends, and to him, his friends were family. He also loved going to the Casino and playing golf with his friends weekly.
Daniel will be remembered for his gentle spirit and the love he shared with his family. He found peace in the comfort of his home, surrounded by the memories of a life well-lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Maine Cancer Foundation.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday July 25th from 2 - 4 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt.22) in Buxton.
There will be a small gathering at Matt’s house at 10 Deer Acres Rd in Standish after the service.
