Teresa L. Savignano (Solomita) age 91, of Brockton, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, at St. Joseph Manor Health Care in Brockton. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Michael A. and Mary A. (Celidonio) Solomita.
Teresa graduated from Saint Patrick’s School in Brockton and attended Brockton Business College. She resided in Oak Point, Middleboro for the past twenty years.
Teresa worked as an administrative secretary for the U.S. State Department of Foreign Service for twenty years, retiring in 1997. Teresa served as a secretary for several embassies and consulates, including in the Middle East, Southwest Asia, and North Africa. She received many meritorious awards and commendations yearly for her excellent job performance.
Mrs. Savignano was the past secretary of the women’s club in Oak Point. Some of her pastimes include reading, watching PBS programs, old movies, and keeping up with current events. She was fiercely independent and loved her family deeply.
She is survived by her children, Ann M. Moody and her husband Jack of Port Charlotte, FL, Michael J. Savignano and his wife Gina of Bridgewater, and Nicholas J. Savignano and his wife Leanne of Brockton; three sisters, Catherine Carnabuci and her late husband Joseph of South Easton, Marguerite H. Stevens of Stoughton, and Martha E. Gentry and her husband Ted of Hingham; three grandchildren, Holly L. Savignano, Nicholas M. Savignano and his wife Taylor, and Maria C. Savignano; and one great granddaughter, Brooke Riley Savignano. Teresa was the sister of the late Ann M. Munro and her husband John and Mary E. Solomita.
Visitation will begin on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 10:00 am, with a funeral service at 11:00 am, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. Interment will be private.
