Obituary

Gail Ann Bryant, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with chronic pain. She was surrounded by love and is now at rest.

Gail leaves behind her beloved wife of 42 years, Lorin Macedo. She is also survived by her daughters, Golden Bryant and Shannon Dillard; her son-in-law Erik Antelman; her daughter-in-law Cathy Dillard; and her cherished grandsons: Dakota and Keegan Antelman, and Casey and Cooper Dillard. Gail is also remembered by the entire Macedo family, her brother Frank Schlegel and sister-in-law Tina Schlegel.

Born on December 1, 1950 in Natick, Massachusetts, Gail grew up in Lowell, but spent many childhood summers on Craigville Beach—a place that remained dear to her throughout her life. She moved to Cape Cod during her senior year of high school and graduated from Barnstable High School. Gail went on to earn her nursing license from Cape Cod Community College and dedicated herself to caring for others through her work at Cape Cod Hospital and Lewis Bay Rehabilitation Center.

In addition to her nursing career, Gail was a talented seamstress with a unique skill for marine upholstery. Her creativity and resourcefulness were evident in all she did.

Gail embraced life’s simple joys: spontaneous road trips, tag sales, flea markets, dancing, Provincetown, astrology, camping, boating, and kayaking. She was known for her fiery spirit, a quick wit, and deep love for those around her.
A celebration of Gail’s life will be held on August 23, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Covell’s Beach in Centerville, MA.. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and honor her memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to take a spontaneous road trip, dance in your living room, or spend time by the sea—just as Gail would have wanted.
