We are deeply saddened to inform you of the passing of Lyris Christine Roberts, who departed this life on July 9, 2025, at the age of 81. Lyris was born in 1943 in Curepe, Trinidad and Tobago, to parents Evans and Irita Roberts. She later moved to America and became a U.S. citizen, valuing her right to participate in the electoral process. Throughout her life, she demonstrated dedication through her professional career in banking and family life, achieving many personal goals. She peacefully passed away on July 9, 2025, leaving behind her children’s father, Ulric Alfred and their children Derrick, Ulric, Irita, and Evans Alfred, including their spouses Rahel Adugna, Webley Alfred and Salvatore Gammaro, as well as her grandchildren Nielle, Nathan, Ulric, Lyris, Horizon, and Emmanuel Alfred.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 at the Casper Funeral Home 187 Dorchester St Boston, MA 02127 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by internment services at Oak Grove Cemetery.
