Worcester – Grace O. (Stooke) Torowski, 100, a lifelong resident of Worcester, died peacefully in her home on Sunday, July 6, 2025 after a period of declining health.
Grace was married to the late Michael S. Torowski, who died in 1976. She is survived by her two daughters, Linda S. Lariviere and her husband, Raymond of Westborough and Nancy H. Torowski of Worcester; 3 grandchildren, Dahmen Lariviere, Jaron Lariviere and Brienn Wolfson; 5 great grandchildren, Ryan Wolfson, Cameron Wolfson, Logan Lariviere, Jenson Lariviere and Riley Lariviere and many nieces and nephews.
Grace was born in Worcester, daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Woodward) Stooke and is predeceased by her siblings, Paul Stooke, Earl Stooke, Myrtle Thompson and Muriel Bibik.
Mrs. Torowski was predominantly a homemaker for the majority of her life and caring for her family. She was an avid reader and liked to take day trips to various many places throughout New England and was always happy to see her family.
Private burial took place in Hope Cemetery alongside her beloved husband. Memorial contributions in memory of Grace may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Attention: GIFT PROCESSING, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.
