CINDY KAY (WOLFE) MATTIS OBITUARY
Cindy Kay (Wolfe) Mattis, 67, of Gipsy, PA died on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of Paul “Bink” V. and Isalene K. (Dudley) Wolfe, she was born on June 5, 1958 in Spangler, PA.
Cindy was a graduate of the Purchase Line High School Class of 1976.
On August 13, 1977, she married Dennis “Denny” G. Mattis. They have shared almost forty-eight years of marriage together and their family grew to include three children.
Cindy worked for many years as a cook for the Purchase Line School District and then was employed as a sales clerk for Sheetz in Northern Cambria, PA. Some of her favorite pastimes were hunting; cooking, playing family games and scratch off tickets.
She is survived by her loving husband Denny, her three children: Becky (Jake); Missy (Carl); and DJ (Michelle); her beloved six grandchildren: Isaac Huey; MacKenzie Matthews; and Ava, Zack, Lexis and Lainey Mattis ; her siblings: Ronald Wolfe; Wanda Sue Pearce; Timothy Wolfe; Toni Wolfe; her mother-in-law: Irene Mattis; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Chuck and Kathy Mattis; Mary and John Anna and Diane and Ed Anthony and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins of her extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law: Charles A. Mattis and her brother-in-law: Charles “Chuck” Pearce.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA. At the close of the evening visitation, Matt Scott will share a special blessing.
