Alex “Spook” P. Dudek, 87, of Arcadia, PA died on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at the Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, PA.
The son of Michael Paul and Julia (Stoyak) Dudek, he was born on May 6, 1938 in
Arcadia, PA.
Spook was a graduate of the Purchase Line Class of 1956.
He wed M. Virginia “Ginny” (Fuller) Dudek on July 24, 1965 and they have shared almost sixty years of marriage.
Spook was a lifetime member of the local Catholic church and attended the Church of the Resurrection at the Glen Campbell, PA site
His long career as an electrician encompassed working as an electrical lineman in Ohio prior to returning to PA to be a co-owner of Bash & Dudek Electric. In 1990, he began his twenty-five year position as owner/operator of Dudek Electric.
Spook enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, especially golfing and skiing. He was a charter member of the Montgomery Twp. Rod and Gun Club.
He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler and Pirates fan. Spook had been a local little league baseball and Glen Campbell American Legion baseball coach, as well as playing in a pool league.
Spook was a man who appreciated a good joke and having fun. He deeply loved his family.
Spook is survived by his loving wife Ginny; his daughter: Robin Gresock and husband Jeffrey of Havre de Grace, MD and his son: Mark Dudek and wife Donna Hart Dudek of Knoxville, TN; his four grandchildren: Andrew Gresock; Alex Gresock; Aidan Gresock; and Elizabeth Mauldin-Pakdaman and husband Jalal and their good neighbors and friends: Bill, Paula and Scott Burba.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his five brothers: John, George, Stanley, Henry and Joseph Dudek.
Family and friends are invited to attend a 2:30 p.m. mass of Christian burial on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at the Church of the Resurrection in Glen Campbell, PA with Fr. Stephen Bugay as celebrant. Interment will take place at the Church of the Resurrection cemetery in Glen Campbell, PA.
