Shirley A. (Belanger) Stefanowich, age 84, passed away on July 11, 2025 at Holyoke Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born on April 28, 1941 in Chicopee, daughter of the late Homer and Lucille Demears-Belanger. She is predeceased by her husband Anthony “Tony” Stefanowich and her siblings Jerry Belanger, Paul “Pauly” Belanger, Robert “Bobbie” Belanger, Rose Autrey, Barbara Barre and Joan Brown. She is survived by her son Henry Stefanowich of Greenfield; Lee Lamothe and her partner Alan Hubert and Nancy Stefanowich and her partner Donald Abrahamson of Holyoke; one sister, Helen Konopacki and her husband Lenny of Springfield; two grandchildren, James Chiaro and his fiancé Liana Wilson of Chicopee and Barbara Stefanowich of Springfield; two great grandchildren, Rhianna Caban and Anthony Rivera, her granddog Ella, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. A service will be held in the Chapel of the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 10:00 AM. The Grise Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
