Worcester – Mary (Tartaran) Tuppa, 92 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7, 2025 in her home with family by her side.
Mary was married for 62 years to the late Pandeli “Pandi” Tuppa, who died in 2018. She is survived by a son, Jon Tuppa and his wife Cheryl of Groton, MA; a daughter, Nicol Anderson and her husband, Joe Wojtowicz of Hardwick, MA; a sister, Annette Belea and her husband, Peter Arnone of New York, NY; a brother in law, George Tuppa and a sister in law, Carol Tuppa both of North Babylon, NY; 4 grandchildren, Douglas Anderson, Kyle Tuppa, Emily Elizabeth Anderson and Bryce Tuppa; and many nephews and nieces. She was born in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Nicholas Tartaran and Helen (Savo) Tartaran Belea and is also predeceased by her sister, Florence.
Along with her husband Mary owned and operated Pandi’s Market on Malvern Road in Auburn for 42 years, retiring in 1992. During her retirement she still had the desire to work and went to Adcare Hospital in Worcester where she worked as a receptionist.
Mrs. Tuppa was a member of Saint Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church. She could often be found in her home reading a good book or watching old movies and television shows. Mary still had a fondness for listening to radio and would often listen to Coast to Coast late at night. She always made her family a priority and loved being around them whenever possible and enjoyed going out to dinner with them.
Funeral services are being held privately with burial in Hope Cemetery. Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester is directing arrangements.
