NORTH GROSVENORDALE, CT – Felicia A. (Makulski) Wilson, 92, died peacefully Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Matulaitis Nursing Home, Putnam, after a brief illness.
She leaves her beloved husband of 73 years, Vernon L. Wilson, Jr.; 3 daughters, Diane M. Bennett and her companion Joe Camere of Worcester, MA, Linda J. Campbell and her husband Thomas of Chesterland, OH, and Nancy A. Dellaquila and her husband Todd of Ephrata, PA; 7 grandchildren, Robyn Montgomery and her husband Daniel of Jamison, PA, Thomas Campbell IV and his wife Niki of Novelty, OH, Jeffrey Dellaquila and his wife Gina of Philadelphia, PA, Victoria Smith and her husband Brian of Chesterland, OH, Lauren Burd and her husband Paul of Baltimore, MD, Terry Bennett and his wife Maura of Millbury, MA and Michael Bennett and his wife Donna of West Virginia; 9 great-grandchildren, Abigail, Miles, Lincoln, Thomas V “TC”, Liam, Ada, Julian, Genevieve and Campbell; a sister, Pat Ryan of Aurora, CO; nieces and nephews. Her son-in-law Edward Bennett died in 2007.
She was born on January 13, 1933 at home in Webster, MA, a daughter of Anthony and Angela (Kasierski) Makulski. She graduated from St. Joseph Elementary School and then from the former Saint Louis High School in 1950 where she was a member of the debating team. After her marriage, she lived in Crestview, FL and then returned to Webster before moving to North Grosvenordale in 1958. She and her husband spent the winter in South Carolina for the last 30 years.
Mrs. Wilson first worked as a clerk typist at Wyman-Gordon Company in Worcester. She was a remedial reading aide in the Thompson School System for 20 years before she retired in 1991.
An active member of Saint Louis Church in Webster, she served as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister and was part of the couple-to-couple ministry. She completed the Master Catechist Course of the Diocese of Worcester and taught CCD classes for many years. She belonged to the Saint Louis League of Catholic Women. She was a woman of very strong faith in Christ.
She was once a member of the Springfield Ski Club and of the Emblem Club in Webster where she served as treasurer. An avid golfer, she belonged to the Quinatisset Country Club. She enjoyed painting, gardening and reading.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, July 14, from the Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street, Webster. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Webster. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 on Sunday, July 13, in the funeral home.
