Joseph J. Cappuccio, a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025. He was the son of Luigi and Maria Cappuccio born on April 4, 1925 and grew up in South Boston, Massachusetts. He enlisted in the Marines at the age of 17 and served in WWII in the pacific and fought on Iwo Jima.
He is predeceased by his wife, Connie Azzalina Cappuccio whom he married June 6,1948. He is survived by his children Louis Cappuccio and his wife Marie LaMonica Cappuccio, Angelo Cappuccio, Joseph J. Cappuccio Jr and his wife Elisa Tropeano Cappuccio and daughter
Diane Cappuccio Bedell and her husband, Randell Bedell. Also survived by his 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren.
After discharge from the Marines in 1946 he worked as an iron worker for more than 30 years. He loved to travel and with his wife visited all 50 states and 37 countries. He also loved fishing, canoeing, hiking and camping. A true outdoorsman.
