Theresa (Stuart) Mitchell, 74, of Manchester died August 17, 2006 at Catholic Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born on October 3, 1931 in Mahanoy City, PA. She grew up in the Bronx NYC. She raised her family and lived in Merrimack 35 years before moving to Manchester 4 years ago.
Mrs. Mitchell worked for the Town of Merrimack many years and was an active member of the Merrimack Youth Association.
She was a former member of Faith Christian Center, Bedford and a current member of Harvest Christian Fellowship, Manchester.
The family includes five children, Paul E. Mitchell of York, ME, Joni Gilman of Salida, CA, and Andrew G. Mitchell, Christopher T. Mitchell and Nancy Mitchell all of Manchester; 14 grandchildren and one great granddaughter; four brothers, Joe Avolis of North Carolina, Lewis Aviles of California, Stan Aviles of New York and Ralph Aviles of Rhode Island.
IN HER LIFE: The family also includes a sister in law, Barbara Mitchell of Epsom; two nieces, Susan Shephard of Auburn and Laurie Mitchell of Epsom; one nephew, Peter Mitchell of Epsom; cousins and other nieces and nephews.
Theresa was a tender and wonderful woman and mother, always giving and self-sacrificing. She was a true “Mother Theresa”. The entire family will miss her.
A memorial service was held on Monday August 28, 2006 at Harvest Christian Fellowship, 195 McGregor St., Suite 12, Manchester.
