Anne (Cole) Foster, 79 of Elkton, MD, formerly of Newark, DE, and Bellingham, MA died on July 4th at Christiana Hospital in Newark after a very short fight with a Colon Infection. She was the wife of Dickie (Richard) Foster who died in 1995.
Born in Wales, August 22, 1945, the daughter of the late William Cole and Annabelle MacIver, Anne grew up in Abington, MA and graduated from Abington High school in 1963.
Before her retirement, Anne worked as an accountant for General Motors for many years. After retiring, she earned her real estate license and worked at Patterson-Schwartz from 2005-2008. She had also worked at Atlantic Fabricators from 2012- 2023.
Anne will always be remembered for her kindness and generosity to others. She was always helping and assisting others through her efforts with the church. She also enjoyed travelling and had enjoyed many cruises and trips throughout the US and the Caribbean.
We will miss her every day but her memory will live on in the hearts of all of those fortunate enough to have known her.
Anne is survived by her three sons and daughter and 2 daughters-in-law, Richard/Susanne, Peter, Lisa and Daniel/Edna as well as her grandchildren, Wesley, Peter, Michael, Stephanie, Jayson, Nicholas, Zebley, Tristan and Chloe, her 11 great-grandchildren and her beloved dog Nova.
You could not ask for a better mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother or friend.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour on Saturday, July 12 from 10 – 11 a.m. in the Ginley Funeral home of Franklin, 131 Main Street in Franklin, MA followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home ginleyfuneralhomes.com
Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Franklin.
