Obituary

Sandra K. Godin, 82, formerly of Blackstone, died peacefully Monday June 30, 2025 with her devoted husband at her side at Vantage Health and Rehab Center of Milford. She was the loving wife of Lionel R. “Nell” Godin.
Born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania she was daughter of the late William and Catherine (McClintonck) Eberhart. She was a graduate of the high school in Kaiser-Slaver Germany in 1961.
Sandra lived in Baltimore Maryland, Batavia, New York and Pennsylvania. She was a resident of Blackstone since 1998 and lived at Vantage in Milford for the past several years.
Sandy worked at Suisse Chalet stores in North Smithfield and Seekonk and at several area motels. She was employed at AAA for several years before retiring.
In her earlier years Sandy was a Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW in support of her husband Nell’s involvement with veteran’s organizations. Sandy had fun as a member of the Red Hat Society.
Hands down Sandy was the self-proclaimed “World’s #1 Betty Boop Fan”. Sandy adored Betty Boop and gleefully amassed an impressive collection of Betty Boop memorabilia. Sandy was talented at sewing and crafts and enjoyed bingo.
Sandy will be remembered for her enthusiasm and happy-go-lucky outlook on life. She just loved to have fun at whatever she was doing.
