Steven E. Murdock

Steven E. Murdock, age 65, a lifelong Tewksbury resident, passed away after a courageous battle with melanoma at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston on Monday evening, June 30, 2025.
He was the beloved husband of Joan (McLean) Murdock, with whom he would have celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on September 29, 2025.
Born in Boston on August 27, 1959, he was the son of the late Edward G. Murdock and the late Joan M. (Greenleaf) (Murdock) Adams.
Steven was raised in Tewksbury and graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School in 1978.
Prior to his illness, he was employed as a project manager by Schneider Electric Company, where he worked for more than 25 years.
Steven was an avid sports fan. He loved following all of the New England teams in addition to golfing, running, and pond hockey on Ames Pond in Tewksbury. Later, he enjoyed watching both of his daughters run track and cross-country.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his two daughters, Katherine M. Murdock and Sarah E. Skene, and her husband Ryan. He also leaves two granddaughters, Madeleine and Lily Skene. Steve was the brother of Karen Smith, Donna Miele, Lynn-Ann O’Malley, Susan Murdock, Randy Adams, Debra Dumas, Gary Adams, and Rick Adams. He was also the brother-in-law of Thomas McLean, James McLean, John McLean, Joyce Mercer, and Emily Spinucci. Steven is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
