Kenneth T. Picciandra, 80

Dateline: Norton, MA

Kenneth T. Picciandra, age 80, of Norton, formerly of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 30, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Dianne L. Smith-Picciandra, to whom he was wed for forty-five years.

Born in Taunton, MA on August 16, 1944, he was a loving son of the late Tulio J. and Mary C. (Viscusi) Picciandra.

Ken grew up in Mansfield, was a 1962 graduate of Mansfield High School and received his certification as a Hair Stylist. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army National Guard. Ken was a former member of the Mansfield Lions Club and very-much enjoyed boating and fishing. He had made his home in Norton for the past forty-seven years.

Ken was a longtime fixture in Mansfield where he was the former owner of the Hair Cottage on North Main Street. At the present time, he worked as a barber, along with his good friend Bobby Murray at Stan’s Barber Shop, also operated for many years and was a landmark on North Main Street in Mansfield as well.

Ken took great pride in his work and was well-known for his warm conversations, quick wit and the lifelong friendships he built with his many clients over the years. He will be fondly remembered for his big heart, loyalty and the laughter he brought to every room. His sudden passing is a tremendous loss to all who had the privilege to know him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his devoted children, Dean Picciandra of Maine, Sheri Ledford and her husband Wilburn of Florida and Kendra Faria and her husband John of Taunton. He was the cherished grandfather of Skyla Picciandra, who he and Dianne lovingly helped to raise, as well as Kenny and Karly. He was the dear brother of Jane Ranson of North Attleboro and Dennis and is also survived by several generations of loving cousins and many close friends.

A service in celebration of his life will be held at a later date and place to b announced. Visiting hours are omitted.
